How it works

Send big files. Simply.

Sending is three steps. Everything else is optional.

Send files now

How it stays private

  1. Drop your files

Files and whole folders, up to your plan's limit. Nothing is uploaded until you press send.

  2. Encrypted on your device

Each file is sealed with AES-256-GCM in your browser. Names and sizes are encrypted too.

  3. Share one link

The decryption key is in the part of the link after #, which browsers never send to a server.

Private by design, simple by default

Password & SMS code

Add a password (stretched with Argon2id) and, on Business, a one-time SMS code for the recipient.

Expiry and download limits

Links expire on schedule and files are deleted. Cap the number of downloads, or switch a link off any time.

Huge files, streamed

Uploads resume part by part; downloads stream straight to disk, even as one ZIP.

Know when it arrived

See views and downloads by day, country and device on the private manage page.

Start free. Grow when you need to.

Every plan is end-to-end encrypted. Pay for room and extras, never for privacy.

Questions

Can theTransfer see my files?

No. Files and their names are encrypted in your browser with a key that only exists in the share link. Our servers store ciphertext they cannot decrypt.

What happens if I lose the link?

Nobody can recover the files, not even us, because we never had the key. If you signed in you can still delete or extend the transfer, but you will need to send the files again.

How long are files kept?

Until the expiry you choose (up to your plan's maximum). Then the encrypted data is deleted automatically.

Do I need an account?

No. Anonymous transfers go up to 2 GB for 3 days. A free account raises that to 10 GB, 14 days and adds passwords.
